BioLive Solutions is a Technology-Based Company (EBT) of the University of Jaén created in 2020, which was born from a promoting team of five researchers from this same institution: Sebastián Sánchez Villasclaras, Roberto García Ruiz, Elena Guzmán Jiménez, Mª Ángeles López Mengíbar and Enrique García Muñoz.

Its management team includes Sebastián Sánchez Villasclaras, professor of the Chemical Engineering area as managing director, Roberto García Ruiz, professor of the Ecology area as project director, and Elena Guzmán Jiménez, researcher in the Agrifood Technology area and head of management of the R + D + i at the Center for Advanced Studies in Olivar y Aceites de Oliva, as commercial and marketing director.

It is an interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial team that has extensive and extensive experience in the olive-growing subsector, which is supported by its teaching, participation in multiple research projects both nationally and internationally, and by the different collaborations with important private companies that belong to this subsector.

The promotion of Biolive Solutions is based on the need for a greater transfer of knowledge and innovations generated in its research, being the objective that moves this company to favor the modernization, professionalization and greater productivity of the olive grove and olive oil sector. The team firmly believes that the olive grove and olive oils are the first source of economic wealth in the province of Jaén, and that we must support the numerous efforts aimed at acquiring more and more advanced knowledge regarding the correct management of the olive grove, the production of olive oil, and its not only organoleptic but functional quality, and how to improve the marketing and value of this product, both nationally and internationally.
